.ISO files disappeared after game installation canceled !?

When I tried to install the game (“Rage”) and after it installed DVD1, pop-up dialog asked me to browse for DVD2 and after that i clicked Cancle (accidentally pressed), DVD2.ISO and DVD3.ISO are suddenly disappeared and now i cant find them, there is just DVD1 in game folder!?!??!?!?!??!? I cant believe that happened LOL
I tried to restert my PC, nothing happened. Tried to scan for lost files, cent find missing files….
Anyone can help?
That is rather strange. Maybe Try using a recovery software if nothing else works?

check your ISO program settings. Maybe the file .iso was changed in the program,
@Tooth: Even if it was changed, the resulting changed file would be visible in the folder where the original files were kept or at least somewhere in the computer And according to PDESD, he found nothing of that sort.
You right, rg_kales… nothing else in the folder except DVD1… Im using Recuva software right now, hope it will help… also will try to recover deleted .rar files if couldnt find iso files so i cane extract it again
This happened to me for the first time…
That’s why I always try first with Sandboxie.
I never delete the rar files unless and until my game is installed and I know everything’s fine From now on, you should do that too.
Sometimes I do that too, but i guess this was bad luck
Could you first confirm that you can see hidden files and folders?
What about the size of the folder that contains the ISOs?
What software were you using to mount the ISOs?

That’s just plain weird!
2 things you could try:
1> Do a search on your PC for .iso files to see if somehow the ISOs moved
2> Use a recovery software to look for the missing ISOs
He already did the 1st one. And as i suggested too, I hope the 2nd one works for u.
Did you check your drive space? Any changes?
May be it’s moved to some new location…

No changes mate… I did all the checks.
However, I managed to recover deleted files using File Scavanger.
