Hello, again

Answer #2
yeah its a decent laptop for gaming. As far as the screen size is concerned, I also have a 14 inch laptop, but it don’t matter for me since i connect it to my hdtv for playing games.
Answer #3
Yeah, I’d say good enough – I have an i7 with a gt540 – it plays most stuff at screen res quite nicely.
Yours is i5, lower spec cpu, but higher spec gpu.. that should even out for games.
It’ll get hot though!

Thanks everyone, I got it for SGD 919 with 8gb ram.
They’re saying if I get additional 2 years, (total 4 years) It will be additional $142. Would I need it?
I did not trade in my oldlaptop since they downed their offered to 150. I’d rather keep it.
Thanks!

It can be used for gaming, but it won’t be very good at it. It will definitely be hindered by the ddr3 VRAM.

No.. very rarely are the added warranty offers worth the cost.
In two years you’ll be wanting the next best thing, or the battery will be wearing out or whatever.. Think of it as a bet – they are betting you $142 that it’ll last 4 years, you are betting them $142 that it won’t.. but there are conditions to the bet (the conditions are what’s covered and what itsn’t – like the battery, for e.g.!)
If they had any concerns over it lasting then the charge would be higher.. so it will last and you don’t need the extra 2 yrs.

Not really. But I’ll tell you one that easily will; Lenovo Y 580

I’ve only read a couple of replies. I’m not on top of my spec game like I was in the 90’s. In general it seems the price is a little heavy. I have access to some I-5 and I-3 machines. They are weak compared to my I-7 based laptop. The video card is quite important as well. I couldn’t really speak to that. For me, I’d like to have a ultrabook for the transportability of them. But there is a huge price increase to get one of the few that are I-7 based. To date I haven’t seen the ultrabook that would cause me to give up my do everything I-7 HP 15 inch laptop.
