thanks in advance
what has been changed now?
TOS?
If you are so concerned about privacy etc, why don’t you go and read their AVAST Privacy and Information Security Policy
http://www.avast.com/privacy-policy
thanks
i mean did they do something bad(spy) and have been caught?

Caught by whom?
What they can do bad to remain undercover?
Anyway… why you use Avast when it’s crappy AV? I would suggest you to use either Avira or Microsoft Security Essentials in combination with Malwarebytes Antimalware.

cause avast provide more protection features, i think is better
agreed: Avast (with Firewall) works really great and has my system secured for a long time already. I also use Norton Ghost to make regular backups of my drive(s) to a removable HDD–>big peace of mind + it helped me out twice already.
About avast spying….IF they did, they didn’t spy hard enough (or didn’t bother) to tell me I was using a fake serial key for their software:) haha
It’s MS that I trust the least when it comes to “spying”
If you are scared…just make sure you have a good firewall (like the one in AVAST Internet Security) and set the default behavior to “ask”…. this way, you’ll know exactly which programs want to browse the web, or listen to connections….
There are many programs that want to browse the web or listen to it…. this could be for an update…BUT it could potentially be for “spying”….. I start-off by blocking…if the program doesn’t work for some reason…I can always go into the firewall and delete the application rule…so that next time I can allow the connection….
Hope this eases your mind a bit:)
I’ve been using Avast for a while now and found no problems with it. It does however have a look at your computer for things like IE, Adobe Flash and such like and updates those. If you want to cancel these updates open Software updater, click on ‘More details’ then click on ‘ignore program’ to stop updates.
