IPhone 3GS with no data plan?

Did you know a data plan is required for your iPhone? For whatever reason, our records indicate your iPhone did not have the correct data plan. We have added the appropriate data plan.
Is it possible to use my iPhone without AT&T adding data to my plan?
Note: My iPhone is a 4.2.1, is jailbroken, and I have turned off 3G & Cellular Data.
i dont think so…and why did you turn those off its just a ipod with no 3g/cellular data

How do you use it as a phone if you have the Cellular Data turned off?
I’m currently trying to use an iPhone with just Cellular Minutes and Text, but no Data Plan, because just gona use WiFi for the internet and apps. Anyone know if this is possible?
fkucitsandy replied: I just got an iPhone off of Craigslist and a week after I put in the sim, I got a text saying...no it’s not possible to have an at&t without data on it because after all an iphone is a smart phone so it not be called a smart phone if it did not require data usage… you need atleast data to activate the phone. if your worried bout data just get the 200MB plan for $15 on at&t other wise your going to get charge even if you use or not the data.. So no point really in having smart phone if you can’t even afford data plan on it because they will keep charging you to use data on every smart phone. Get a regular cell phone if you don’t want to get a data plan.
