Internet Download Manager Serial Invalid

I have installed Internet Download Manager v6.03 Beta Build3 and used it smoothly with the patch. However, I tried to update it and now it shows up “Serial invalid, Internet Download Manager is closing” and it refuses to work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but the same thing happens…
Does anyone know what can I do to fix this? I really need it’s useful features…

uninstall and reinstall…never update IDM it always did this I made this mistake once few months ago….ha dto do full uninstall then re install it

Which patch did you use ? What did you try to uninstall with, cos if you use Default uninstaller it wont work Try Using either Your Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller and uninstall in Advanced or Super Mode, and then use CCleaner, then remove any traces of IDM in windows, like Folder in Program Files, Application Data, or anywhere related
Then do a Restart and try re-install and use my patch (from my signature)

Uninstall with RevoInstaller, Use advanced & remove all registry! & Reinstall

Internet Download Manager is back and working on my computer.
I previously unintstalled with IObit Uninstaller which also removed all registry keys. After reading above, I deleted the IDM program file and reinstalled than patched it, now it works fine!
Now I know to not ever update it again.

UPDATE: It says “Unregistered Version”…so the patch didn’t work? What now? Repeat steps with Revo Uninstaller all over again?

Now I know to not ever update it again.

You get fake serial or Trial version ? If you are getting Trial/Unregistered version then you havent patched it properly Make sure you follow the instructions properly If you arent sure then check the topic from my sig

I accidently updated it and the serial didn’t work anymore. So I completely uninstalled it with Revo Uninstaller in Advanced Mode. Deleted all traces of it and restarted computer.
Reinstalled. Patched with your patch.

Ok that tends to happen sometimes when something is partially blocking patch, Im not saying to allow it but you might wanna scroll down and see if you get anything that says patch dint work ?
Also you may get that error(registry keys one) first few times but then it will just get back to normal
Did you check if it did get registered ?
