Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz

Is this a good processor for the money? Is it demanding of a really good power supply? I want to play ArmA 2 or Operation Flashpoint 2 on medium settings, I’m not really a techie so I have no clue what I will need.
Right now I have 9600 GT 512 mb and 3gb ram. I know my graphics card can handle ArmA 2 because I’ve played it before but it was just really laggy because of my current processor.

i would go with a quad core if you have enough money, but the duo is OK

I dont If I get that I would for sure need to buy a new power supply.
[EDIT] What about the Wolfdale E8400?

Would that be needy of a high wattage power supply?
