Installing WIndows XP Help

August 2nd, 2016

Hey guys,
I need help. Is it possible to install windows xp onto your pc without burning the ISO image to a cd and then booting from it? Is it possible to just run it from Vista and install it? Any suggestions would be great!!!!

Answer #1
Vista doesnt let you install from xp within it suposedly its a “downgrade” .. perhaps you could use a usb as a boot device as an alternate.
Answer #2
Eh, if I were you, I’d just back up all my important stuff (pictures, irreplaceable files, rare files that you won’t be able to find again, etc) to an external drive or thumb drive and just reformat. It’s a great way to clean out your system of stuff you don’t use, but never bother to delete, and doing so generally makes your machine run just a bit faster.

i havnt seen any possible way for you can do that, I think the only way you have is booting it from a cd
Answer #4
But is there any way at all??
Answer #5
u must use a ‘VirtualPc’ to do so..
Answer #6
No, not with a virtual PC. I want to install it so that i can boot from it, without burning it to a cd or dvd. any one??
Answer #7
then u should copy the content to USB and install. the process is long!
then make the Vista boot link to appear with the help of software VistaBootPro. (because, once XP is installed, vista boot link will be gone…)

Answer #12
buddy coz u r running vista there is no possible way coz vista wont allow downgrading.
had it been windows 7 then it would have worked but xp-NO CHANCE
u have only 2 options
1.burn cd and boot frm there

nope. vista wont allow you to run xp setup. whether you use an iso installer of xp saved to your hdd. not at all. possible only vice versa as in xp is installed and you want to install vista saved to hdd for dual boot. and also you can not surf.
