Installing ISO Programs Help?

August 11th, 2013

Hey I’m trying to install Reason 5, a music program. The files are separated into 8 different .rars, I have WinRar installed, and VirtualCD. But the problem is when I try to mount the .ISO It will get to 98% then has a error saying “Part05.rar is corrupted” I tried to replace the part 5, no change. Even when I try to extract the folders inside, the same error comes up.
Can someone help me?

Answer #1
you may have a corrupt download.
within winrar, run “test archived files” for a corrupt download.
Part5 you may need to download again. but not all of them

Hey thanks for replying. I downloaded it again, but am having the same problem. Everyone else in the topic is posting that it works, it appears I’m the only one not having success.
Answer #3
Its possible that its not part5.
Did you use the test archived files option in winrar as instructed?

Yes I did. Every time I do it it says that part5 is corrupt.

your process is wrong.
take part1 of the rar files, right click on “extract”. You need to extract the ISO image to your
hard drive first. After the ISO is sitting on your hard drive, then you mount the iso image
to begin the install.
or, while the ISO is on your hard drive, extract the ISO contents,
and double click on the setup.exe or autorun.exe to begin the
install without mounting the iso image
