iMac 27″

Hi, im buying an iMac off a friend of a friend soon, he’s used it but it’s still all working and so on….
only thing im not sure about is when I receive it, do I have to do anything with it to change it to my name at all? he’s left it just as he’s been using, theres no clean install or anything….
im going to get it and test it out but i’ve never used a Mac before so just wondering whether there is anything I have to change and so on…..

What do you mean the name? Like login? You may have to restore it. because if its an account that was setup when the mac was first turned on you cant delete that account.

Ok thanks alot, im just wondering, like with iPods/iPhones, if you buy a used one… you need to sort it with iTunes etc,
im guessing an iMac aint anything like that, theres no important things to change if you buy 1 used…
