$1,999.00 for the new iMac 5K 27″ or what PC would I get for this money?

September 1st, 2019

This is the iMac 27″ configuration:
3.2GHz Processor
1TB Storage
3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB (two 4GB) memory, configurable up to 32GB
1TB Fusion Drive1
AMD Radeon R9 M390 with 2GB video memory
Retina 5K 5120-by-2880 P3 display
$1,999.00 http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac

Anyone knows what kind of PC I would get for around $1,999.00?
Just the PC, not the 4k display, which I already have.
Thanks for any configuration ideas.

Look like great machines. Thanks a lot. And normally a gaming PC is also good for graphics and video editing (Adobe Premiere, After Effects) or would you make a difference there?
Answer #3
Yes gaming pc always has better a graphic card
Answer #4
do you want to build your own pc or do you want to buy a prebuild one for that price ?
i would recommend building your own cuz you can build a pc far more powerful than that imac for gaming or editing with adobe products. that imac is not a powerful pc , it just has a brilliant 5K retina monitor like none other.
edit : actually i had some free time and made 2 builds for you , keep in mind i just added random cpu cooler since i didnt have time to select best and used my own pc case as case option it is little out of budget but both pc are very powerful , you cant even compare those with the imac up above in terms of performance in any area.

You should really only get an apple if you plan on using OSX or its generally nice monitors In terms of raw hardware power, the macs will almost always come out short when comparing equally priced systems

I bought myself a little Macbook Pro about a year ago for University purposes. It’s only a lower-end model but it is seriously quick and does everything you could expect or want. Then again, I’m not a massive gamer or video editor anymore. However considering the specs of the 5k model, you can probably do everything at once and more without a hitch.
I would choose Mac every single day over Windows these days.
