HP Pavilion ZD8000 Laptop SD Card Reader not reading

heey everyone. i just got me a nice lg xenon and now use sd cards for memory. i have a sandisk 512MB mini sd card,when i try and put it in my laptop with the adapter it doesnt read or even pop up . i tried most of the drivers on hp’s website. so can someone help me or atleast find me a driver that works for the laptop. graciously appriciated if you can help

do you have a model #? without that i can’t direct link you to the product’s drivers…

i dont know the exact model of it i’m afraid :/ and i dont know if its sandisk is the solution because its the laptop problem not the cards
