How to Remove AntispywareXP 2009

Recently i let my little brother use my laptop and he accidently downloaded the programme AntispywarXP 2009. it has slowed down my pc very much. please help! my computer is my life

Use Spybot: Search & Destroy.
It will delete it, and make you PC fast again

SpyBot S&E removes spyware, hijackers, and melware. It doesn’t remove programs.
Again I ask, What OS are you running? If its Vista, go to Start, “Control Panel”, and look in the mass list of icons for “Programs and Features” and click on it. Simply find the program he installed and click on it once. You should then have the option to “Uninstall Program”.
XP is alittle different but same thing. Go to Control Panel and find something like Add/Remove Software or Add/Remove Programs. And do the same thing.

Spyware creates the program.
If you delete the program, it recreates ittself, thats why you needs Spybot.

She says that he “Downloaded” it. That doesn’t mean spyware created it. Unless she has a Hijiacker on her web browser. THEN I’ll believe it was spyware. To determine what it truley is, we need more information about the “program” from .

And you really say that a small child clicked on a link, filled out the installation form and downloaded it “accidently” ?
But I do agree,we need more info.
EDIT: Im 110% sure its created by spyware, serahc it on google, its all about uninstallations.
Step 1: Use SpyBot to delete the spyware.
Step 2: If the program exists after the spyware is deleted, either remove program via “Add & Remove Programs” or manually delete it by deleting the folder in “Program Files”

my OS is XP,i have tried uninstallin the program but it does not work,its just freezes, and spybot did not remove the program as u hav mentioned. more info ‘ little brother was browsing then all of a sudden the computer restarted, and the pop up came up to install AntispywarXP 2009’. i have also tried to system restore but this also seems to be not workin as it does not open…. please advise

Hello.
You probably have the newer variant of the tdssserv rootkit. It shutdown the PC on me a few times last time I battled with it, plus fake alerts.
Download smitfraudfix from here.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe
Run smitfraudfix.exe. It will make itself a folder and open the cmd window.
Allow it to load and select option 1 when it gives you a list of choices.
Copy and paste rapport.txt back here.

OK, that at least lets me know it is a hijacker or spyware trojin of some sort. If that doesn’t work, try SUPERanti Spyware. This nasty trojan is pushed to the computer. You don’t have to click on download anything to get it. It hides itself by changing the desktop profile, theme, and settings for both. For a full clean check out the instructions on c-net.
