How to Boot and install from usb.

August 7th, 2016

In bios, I can see only option to boot from hdd group, cd rom group, network boot group and floppy group. I don’t see option to boot from usb.
I tried this “Windows7 usb dvd download tool” and made a bootable usb that I can use to install fresh windows 8.1 x64.
Is it possible for my pc to boot from usb even if it is not shown as an option in bios? How?
Please advise.
Thanks.

Do you have other option than enter bios when in POST (power on self test)? In my case I have 1. boot menu
2. enter bios
3. recovery
If I enter bios I can’t see the USB in my boot priority, but when I choose “boot menu” I can boot using my USB.

Yea..Try what suggested..Try the Boot Menu..
When you switch on your computer just like when you want to access the bios..
Tap the Boot menu key…It could be F2/F8 or F12…
You can find out which key in your Motherboard user guide..
Also check if the usb is enabled in the bios..

If I enter bios I can't see the USB in my boot priority, but when I choose "boot menu" I can boot using my USB.
I pressed ESC for the boot menu. It did not exactly said usb but the only option that I don’t know is vervatim store so I selected it and yes it booted on my usb with windows 8.1 installer in it.
Now I am ready to install my windows.
Thanks for all the help.
