Answer #1
I would say 500 ish.
Answer #2
make it yourself.
Answer #3
Hi.
I am buying one my self, I don’t hve time to make it my self, I am also buying one for a relative. Do you think I should just buy it?
Answer #4
For 600 you might as well buy it from there as you get “security” if it goes wrong within 12 months you can take it back, build it your self saving around 100.
Answer #5
@ ,
This one is at sale it is a Packard Bell, see more here:

I’ve managed to get a deal with a local PC World Manager, he gave me the base unit + 159 monitor for 900. Is that worth it? If I go with the one above, I have Windows 7 which I can install, and all other software. I just don’t want to get conned!!!!!!!!!
Answer #6
Again that is not a bad price you are paying for the 12 months warranty, build it your self about 125 cheaper.
Answer #7
Do you think, I really need 6GB of RAM (the packard bell)? I’ll only be playing movies, playing games such as Call of Duty, Crisis, Fifa 09/10 etc… and music and general school work, and leisure? I’d rather save some money and use it else where too, what you think? Could the 599, one handle this?
Answer #8
Well the GFX is pants really, 4GB and a better card would be best ;>
The 599 is more worth it
Answer #9
Thanks , i’ll go for the 599. Know any where I can get cheap monitors?
Answer #10
The 599 one should be able to handle games but don’t expect highest details. If you know how to install an OS, to install drivers and you don’t want to build it yourself, you can just buy the parts, pay a local computer shop to assemble it for you. It will still be cheaper and more oriented on what you want to do.
Answer #11
Not highest details is okay. Also, I have a rig at the moment AMD ATHLON 64 X2 DUAL CORE 3.21, got nice details when i play games, what will the v ariation be? I am on a 9600gt on this one right now

or eBay
And the 5770 ATI is an improvement on the 9600GT ;>

That’s not a good deal atall.
Every single system in pc world is a con mate.
I see alot of Packard bell systems, and other ones for sale at pc world.
Most all are shockingly poor value.
They only get away with ripping people off as badly as they do because it’s the main highstreet name and people who are not knowlegable in pc’s or hardware think it’s a reputable company. Bottom line is, tell pc world “no thanks” I generally recomend cyberpower for pre built games systems. Rare they can beat building yourself though, but it’s understood that is not a option for everybody.
Answer #15
Cool, thanks for your input!
Answer #16
PC World do have deals ;> You just have to find them. Like I said 900 for that tower and a screen is ok only about 125 cheaper if built your self.
Answer #17
Thanks , seems like i’ll be going for the 599 one
Answer #18
Keep in mind that a “159monitor” in pc world is a 80 generic screen anywhere else. GTS 240 is not going to keep ya games happy. For 900 he can do alot better. customise this i5 setup 602 buys you
Coolermaster Elite case
500W coolermaster Power Supply
Core i5 750 2.66 GHZ GigaByte P55M-UD2 4GB (2x2GB) PC10666 DDR3/1333mhz Dual Channel Memory
ATI Radeon HD 5770
500gb hdd
and save cash for a screen. 100 should cover the value of the pc world screen easily. That still leaves 200 to make the pc even better

EDIT: oh man i’m too slow he’s buying the AMD system. The amd system was not bad value atall.
For 3 more though mine was alot better
