Wow nice deal, hope you’ll enjoy it. How’s the IPS screen ( I wish it had the A6 Cortex- then it would be a no brainer )?
Answer #4
it’s awesome
Answer #5
Well it depends on what you use.
If you use included power charger, 4-6 hours tops.
If you use 500mA USB, you can multiply that estimate by 4.
Answer #6
Don’t know if you can compare to the tablet shown but my kindle fire hd took around 8 hrs with a 1amp out adapter had to get a kindle fast charger its got a 1.8 amp output so obviously it roughly halved the time.
Answer #7
Usually around 4 – 6 hours on my nexus 7 so i assume this will be similar.

I brought a tablet PC from box.co.uk, every time I charged it and moved the tablet, the screen would flicker like mad. I was on 56% and the battery went down to 7%. I took it back today and said it was faulty, the guy said an engineer will look at it, okay then. I gave him my number and went to my car, sat down and thought, I ain’t leaving without a new one. so smoked a cigarette and went back in, spoke to the “manager” and said I need someone to look at it asap, he said okay. I waited around 10 minutes to find out it is faulty and they give me a brand spanking new one, thing is though the one I brought was an “open” box one, this one is brand spanking new!
so the charge begins, the other one took like 6 hours. I guess this one will too.

Flicker during charging is normal for these small company tablets as it may come with a charger that uses 2 pin charging instead of a micro usb.
2 pin charging may short the base which may cause flickering, (I had a Teclast A10 which did that).
For these small brands, they may come pre-tested and hence open box. DOA is definitely possible as they don’t get much test at the production line.

They usually have a colour changing light to say it’s “cooked” (done).
By Acer tablet goes from red to white when finished..
Anyway – firat charge, about 8 to 10 hours (an overcharge, it establishes the batteries max volume).
After that? Dependoing on the power oputput of the charger, 3-5 hours.

: it’s a UK mains charger, not 2 pin. it does have a micro USB port but it doesn’t use that to charge it. it flickered even when it wasn’t on charge but it flickered more when it was on charge.
either way, they’ve replaced the “open” box one with a brand new sealed one.
: yeah, this tablet goes from red to green when it’s fully charged. I read the instructions and it says minimal charging time is recommend to be 8 hours before first use. thanks for the replies, I only asked because when I got the “open” box one, there wasn’t any instructions.
peace!

sorry to double post/bump.
it’s been on charge since 11am this morning, the charging light has gone from red to green. fair to say it’s fully done and ready to play with?!

I wasn’t referring to IEC connectors, you got the wrong idea.
IEC connection has nothing to this. Ideally its good to charge via usb connection. Not a standard plug (Positive inside and negative outside, hence 2 pins).
Its the plug that goes to connect your tablet.
