How good will this system be?

24″ Asus HD LCD Monitor
Processor, i’m not sure which one to go with, which one shall I choose:

will it be good for graphic design, hd videos etc? also are the processors better than the amd athlon 64x dual core?
I would go with the second processor that you posted if I was you. I believe that the Intel ones would be better than an AMD ones, Intel is for quality while AMD is for price. I used to use the 8800GTX back in the day and even my videos had good quality with that so I think yours should be pretty decent.
Just did like to add. Since you choose a gt model. GT is low end graphic cards, GTS is mid end cards. And GTX is extreme models. Now as it is today. I dont think there is any GT models worth the price, compared to etc nvidia gtx 550TI. The graphic card is slightly better than 9800GTX2. And since you work with graphic designs (Dont know at which level ofcause) You might need something better than a gt card. You will get hole lot more for your money if you get something better than a gt card. And by now 9600GT is a old card. And defently not worth the money. If you want a low end card. Go for a higher serie. But then again if your designing dosent require a hole lot. The cheapest card available is fine i geuss.
