how do i uncompress incomplete rar files?

u don’t unless u have the remaining files. When extracting a multipart file, when the extraction reaches the max file size of the 1st file it will 1) (if you have the files) automatically continue extraction by moving on to the 2nd part or 2) (if you don’t have the other files) prompt you for the next file.
ya can’t extract a multipart file without all parts
When you click the Rar file to open where it ask where to extract check keep broken files and the extract.

Some players let you preview part rar(don’t get me wrong I agree with you Tv), if meant being able to preview a sample then Torrent is the way to go(no I don’t want to open that can of worms, but done this game for years and if precautions are taken its not an issue), as with torrent you can just download the sample if you wish.

Have you tried the C64 Forever emulator? it does the full C64 load screen for its entirety, bloody glad Spectaculator doesn’t do that (Call me sad but I have an emulator for all the old stuff, even got some for the wife when I can’t be bothered )
never tryed any of them bud gave up on them when got me hands on the nes when it came out 1st
its a collection of books i downloaded the first part but dont want the rest. when i try to open it lets me see the books with in winrar but when i try to extract it by keeping broken files it just gives me an empty folder. the rar file is 400 mb so there must be something in there…?
You need to download all parts, then you can delete what you don’t want after extraction.

However, (to OP) this hasn’t seemed to work for you. Can you do a Google search using the filename to see if you can find the rest ? Have you tried using 7zip to extract (right click extract here)? Sometimes you can find the files in a temp folder, however you may not get that many books from it.

FFS, re-entered as edit: Its a collection of books he’s downloading not a video file(not going Roberto snappy here :lol), so unfortunately it is a case of having to download all parts (unless you do torrent, then you can choose)

FYI – many, many, many years ago, when I was involved in sharing porn files via Yahoo Groups (upload limit was 753MB plus the message envelope) I used to get so excited about some spanned image set posts that I would extract a few images from the first rar, it is possible, however as I stated he may not get many books. FFS

Still got a C64 and tape recoreder (and Amiga and…), have debated modding my PC case to black with the Speccy multi-coloured stripe though, as for the Op I don’t think he can help us
