How do i force IDM to grab downloads of rapidshare

i have firefox 6.0.2
and IDM 6.07
also i am downloading as free user.
i have already enabled Start downloading immediately while displaying….option
also i tried customization key for force download but still downloads starts using firefox browser.
when I try to download from rapidshare and the pop up window opens which says
free or premium(I am also pressing the force download key ctrl at the same time) if I click free then a new tab opens in firefox browser and then firefox prompts me to save or open the file(from rapidshare link)
I can only get IDM to take over the download through right clicking mouse and selecting “Download all links with IDM”(while pressing force download key ctrl)
And though this way IDM take overs the download but still it downloads the rar file as html file.

If you are a free user you need to use jdownloader..
And there are tons of topics just like this one…

how can i resume broken downloads from filehosting sites using IDM?

U can resume from sites like mediafire,~ Disallowed ~ etc other file hosts like FS,FSO,HF,WU don’t allow resume download option for free users, only premium user can resume. So it is not the problem with IDM, try resuming with MF links.

hmm needed to revive this old thread again.

i download from rs as a free user and use idm and it downloads fine

thanks and I updated to latest version to IDM 6.8beta build 7 and the thing is not solved.
now gonna update to latest firefox to see if it helps.
