Nope, RMA is usually done through sellers.
Most countries won’t have their shops do it off the books unless your a regular.

Did you buy it online?

Jeez you made it complicated, normally I consider buying computer parts that is out of 20km range to be a mistake.
Unless you have a car. Best to buy any computer part as close as your house as possible. Since your friend bought it from Amazon, your best bet is to sent it back to him and hope he will sort it out.
I have a friend that made the same mistake before, he bought a Asus Sabertooth, thinking it is good and cheap in the states for his brother.
And they live in NZ. Turns out its DOA, the lesson is to always buy local, in person.
One thing about Asus these days is the quality is bad, it was always bad except its gotten worse.
How can a Z97-Pro Wifi AC and a Strix GTX970 both have similar issues (ports not working), wether its USB or DP or HDMI.

Then the warranty only applies to the US, and I think that it is unlikely that the the closer countries would perform an RMA
Answer #8
Eh, gonna ship the damn thing i guess.
but you don’t know the price diff here.
the CPU alone (i7-5820k) there is 150$ price diff.
way too much.
Answer #9
You could have your friend test it before sending it over to you

You rarely get defective CPU’s, but motherboards, memory very likely.
Buy local for that. Heck in 10 video cards I buy, 7 of them will all have some sort of issue.
How much time have you lost and how much shipping have you paid to get these issues remedied.
I bet you have a high chance of receiving a refurbished motherboard, which will not be perfect too.
Answer #11
You could contact ASUS in the US and see if they will RMA it directly..
Answer #12
hmmm, i did they told me contact Israel one.
Israel told me we will get back to you in few days we need to make sure if its possible.
Also i am starting to gain some hope, i read more about that error its because 1) bent CPU pin on the motherboard. 2) the fan is not set correct or the thermel paste is too much.
So i am gonna send it to local shop in few hours to check it out
wish me luck, and thanks for all help guys!
