Well, I have downloaded it, and began thinking. Do I have to remove my old vista first? Or can I get rid of it afterwards? If I cant, must I format my whole C: or only C:/Windows? Help is appreciated. Helpers get a cookie (rly)

When you install Windows, one of the first steps before te installation starts is to format your HD
Don’t forget to download drivers for your Hardware ^^
Or you can try to make a dualboot with XP en Vista

Well, when i installed my () vista, it smoothly just left the old win there as a widows.old folder, and I could delete it afterwards, but when its the other way around, I’m not so sure bout’ it :S
Answer #3
It’s not advisable to have two OS in one partition. Just reformat the partition where you plan to install Windows. And don’t forget to backup important files.
Answer #4
Yep I’d agree with the guy above. Also I’d check the manufacturer of your computers website and download all XP drivers for your model first and stick them on a disk just to be safe because I wouldn’t trust that XP edition to have them by the small size of it.
