HDD Bad Sector how to fix? Need Help

August 28th, 2013

There is a problem in my Seagate HDD, I cannot put or paste a file on my 1TB HDD,I get this error”Windows Delayed Write Failed error” but I can copy previus files that I stored in it while it was working back then.
I use HDD Regenerator 2012 to check and scan my 1TB Seagate HDD desktop, It detects 2 delayed and 3 bad sectors but cannot fix or reallocate the bad sector.
Screenhot:

What is the best software that can fix or can reallocate my bad sector of HDD?
Thanks in advanced.

lionden replied: HDD RegeneratorThis.
Though the newer versions of Hiren’s BootCD by default doesn’t have HDD Regenerator you can get the restored edition which should have this.

Back on topic,Start command prompt (Winkey+R>cmd) and type the following
chkdsk X: /r
Replace X with the drive letter,If it’s split to multiple partitions,Repeat this process with the next one later.
IMO replacing it would be best,Bad sectors are usually the result of faulty read/write heads,And they could
multiply later on,A complete head crash can also occur.
Edit: Running HDD Regenerator from a boot cd/usb will work too,Your not suppose to run it from windows.

Having bad sectors on drives (even when new) is normal & these are generally hidden. The FAT (File Allocation Table) handles these & blocks them from being accessed/used. The only reason to have concerns is if they increase. Setting Smart in BIOS should advise you of impending doom.
As said above run checkdisk to see if any can be recovered (highly unlikely).
