Getting rid of a website i’ve made years ago
April 9th, 2014
All the people on school are bullying me, whenever they search my name and last name at google, the site is the first result.
And all the pictures and stuff, it’s so emberassing.. I don’t know what to do. I mailed “20m.com” already. But they didn’t reply!
Here is the deal with free hosting. They will not close your account unless you can prove ownership of the account. So if you lost your username and password (tisk tisk, rookie mistake), they will not be able to shut down your account.
For all they know, you are trying to shutdown someone’s website with malicious intent.
Let this be a lesson to you, always remember your information!

And then, back up your sensitive data automatically and remotely (such as passwords) for free.

And grow up man, these people are not your friends, lol.
Are you trying to get a job from them? Are they grading your work? Who cares what they think?
Nah true story.. i’m not saying they’re my friends
Dude i had the same freaking problem with Geocities. I opened a support ticket and told them this website was done by someone else and it has my private information. Told them its breaching my privacy. I also told them i can prove them the site has my private info by providing me information. etc etc.. They closed down the account the next day Worked. Maybe try again. Make it clear in the complaint that the site is NOT done by you but it has your personal information.
Even if he/she was able to get the account shut down. Chances are google might have it on cache still
Stuff what other people think.
Just get on with your life, and you have learned a valuable lesson – Don’t post things on the internet that you never want to be seen.

Google cache will eventually disappear. What you gotta fear is if the wayback machine crawls your site =D

well probably not everyone knows about those also it will be still better if the main site is down even if there is a cache somewhere.
google cache is no problem when you get the site deleted the cache will get overwritten by something else
what is the site name that you want to shut down?
