GeForce GT 220 1GB DDR3

August 5th, 2016

I am planning to buy new graphic card. Is it worth to buy GeForce GT 220 1GB DDR3? I don’t have much money to buy gpu, and my cpu doesn’t have good psu. Does the graphics card can handle new game like PES 2011?
Any advice please, and thanks

Answer #5
I wouldn’t buy a GT220, its 1 generation old, plus its a entry level graphics card.
Answer #6
it a decent card. it still can play 2010 pc game. if you dont have $ to buy the the good card
Answer #7
When you’re into gaming and you spend money on a new graphic card, you should get a card that’s good now and will be acceptable in a year or two.
A GTS 250 would be OK for now, while a GT 220 is already old and wasn’t even a ‘gaming’ card to begin with.
A good card which will keep you going for ~2 years without problems would be a GTX 460. It also has a decent price.
You should only buy a GT 220 if you’re on a very tight budget and you’re not really into games that much.

well mate, if I buy GTS 250 or HD 5750, I should buy new psu, new motherboard, and new processor, and I’m not planing to buy all of that because the budget is very low

Pentium D 3.0 GHz with 2GB DDR2 RAM.

I just want to try some old games like COD 4, Assasins Creed 2, and maybe only one or two new games. After finish it, I will uninstall it. What do you think?
Answer #9
Who said anything about changing the CPU, and MB ?
Good luck with whatever…
Oh…and ‘Assassin’s Creed 2’ isn’t an old game…
Answer #10
Buy a second hand 4850 if your budget is really tight…
5750’s are cheap, GT220’s are bad
