Fallout 3 Crashing

February 7th, 2020

I have the Reloaded release of Fallout 3, and it doesn’t work on either of my computers with or without the crack from Trivium.
It crashes before the menu.
If yours works, what are you using to mount this? What is your version of .NET, and Direct X?

Answer #1

Answer #4
On my laptop I have an IBM ThinkPad R52 1849-4WU. It has 2 GB’s of Kingston HyperX RAM now. The only thing that isn’t Minimum is the vid card. But it’s not even that far off….my desktop is ~ Lovely ~ though, AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 1.5 GB’s RAM (DDR2 400mhz), DX 9.0c, XP PRO.
Answer #5
its ur computer specs mate
i dont think its gotta do anything with the game i think its ur computer
how about u uprgrade some stuff?
what graphics card are u using mate?
Answer #6
lol the gpu for the laptop is nowhere near it. The laptop has a x300 gpu but the minimum is x850. Can you say the gpu for the desktop pc but
Answer #7
Oh yeah the desktop is just a Radeon 9600 with 256mb. But the key point is that the x300 will run that ~love~ on low quality like its nothing. Hell the 9600 runs Oblivion like greased ~love~.
If I can get my 50 bucks back I will pay 50 bucks for a new card that exceeds the minimum on the desktop, hell I could probably replace the GPU on the laptop with a 1400 without a problem.
I’m gonna steal one from work.
Answer #8
well upgrading a laptops gpu is a very hard task to say and expensive. The ATi 9600 still doesnt match up to the Geforce 6800 which is the minimum card required. So your pc’s gpu isnt compatible with the game
Answer #9
, I have to disagree. Ati radeon 9600 does meet the min req for the game. If speakin in X850 format then the 9600 is above X1050
Answer #10
Yeah, the 9600 is a really strong card, but it’s not “Technically” supported.
So I stole my laptop from work that has an x1400, 2gb’s ram, and a 2.33 Dual Core Centrino. If this ~love~ doesn’t work I’m calling Bethesda. I seriously don’t think this is a problem with the computer, I think it’s poor coding. Bethesda has always been horrible code writers. I remember playing Morrowind on the XBOX, well, maybe crashing Morrowind on the XBOX.
I’m installing this thing now on that laptop, I hope it works; though part of me hopes it crashes.
*Update*
It works now, so it’s basically a “Screw you go upgrade” situation. I’m tired of keeping up with the jones on my ~ censored ~ computers. Funny thing is that Oblivion runs better on my 9600 than on this x1400. Go figure…
