August 18th, 2013
Maybe the image is broken, does it work when mounted?

works and installs (its a game)
MagicISO is not working with it, IMGBurn is not working with it, Nero is not working at all with anything.
Trying nero again, might beable to get it working
Try UltraISO.

trying
doesnt work. ill just transfer to a flash drive :/
It’s a size mismatch thing – due to the format of the dvd (and this applies to hard drives too, but the numbers are different), a 7.7G iso takes up more than that 7.7 on the dvd.
If you burn with ImgBurn it will tell you this – it’ll show the amount you are over by, it might only be 100-200 mb, but that’s enough to kill the burn. It will not burn the disc if it’d too big, you won’t waste the dvd – try IbgBurn and see what it says.
it look like you bought cheapest dvd d/l disc, so it wont be exactly 8.5GB size maybe less than that

They are Memorex, and as i stated they are 8.5GB but they have 7.9GB, every disc is like this. no disc can do the exact size.
7.7 GB ISO will be larger once all the info and “tables” are written. It’s probably an ISO of a DL disk which would have 9.4 GB of space on it. Being an ISO it may also need specific areas for “blank spaces” used in many disk security schemes so you would need a FULL DL disk for it to write to.
Might have better results with Verbatim discs.
(Verbatim DVD DL +R MKM-0001 or MKM-003)
Similar to what people use for the new XGD3 xbox 360 discs.
I know your not burning XBOX 360 discs… But this tutorial MIGHT help, and might solve your burning issues.
Introduction
This tutorial will explain how to burn xbox 360 XGD3 games using a Lite-on iHas with iXtreme Burner MAX.
1. Things You Need:
1.1. A compatible Lite-On iHas burner with iXtreme Burner Max firmware flashed (see this tutorial How to iXtreme Burner Max)
1.2. A Verbatim DVD DL +R MKM-0001 or MKM-003
1.3. IMGBurn 2.5.6 or later
1.4. A xbox 360 game image (.dvd + .iso)
2. Burning the game
For this tutorial i will be burning MW3 with a Lite-on ihas124B with a MKM003
This is the c4eva's method
Remember the Max iXtreme Burner will only successfully write at a Maximum speed of 4x on MKM003 (with OPC) and 2.4x on MKM001 (without OPC) DVD+R DL
1- Put your blank Verbatim DVD DL +R on your burner and see which version it is on right side (MKM-00X X is the number)
2- In my case it's a MKM-003 which means I can burn at 4x
3- (Skip this step if you have a MKM-001)
Go to Tools - Settings - Write tab - Ensure you select perform OPC before write in the settings page as shown below if you intend to use 4x.
Press ok
4- Now open your game image (open the .dvd file)
5- Select 4x speed (if you have OPC on - MKM003 only)
6- Ensure Verify image is ticked and start burning
Just follow the steps, and try selecting the OPC option (no idea what it is, but it seems to work for them)
Let us know how you get on.
Obviously you wont have a .dvd file, so just select the ISO file.

That will not work, considering the very few useful parts i already do.
