Edit IMG Windows Image?

Basically IMG is a image file, similar to an ISO file. You can simply using most burning software such as Nero to edit folder.
However in your case, i believe you want to make changes to the existing windows OS. You can try Win Toolkit , this tool can integrate Drivers, Updates etc. Application link: www.wincert.net/forum/files/file/5-win-toolkit/
Easier to install windows 8 in hyperv make the changes you want and then dump the vhdx contents to a drive to use it.
