DVD Copy/Clone Question

Does the “director’s comm” show up as an audio stream? I tested it one time and there was no stream. Just tested another movie and it made a second audio stream. Could the dvd program be wrong if it creates another stream?
Answer #1
English AC-3/2 director’s comm
Does it have anything to do with the main movie? I don’t notice any difference in the volume. Sometimes you can hear the difference if the AC-3/2 is the actual Dolby Digital.

Quite often a separate audio stream is used where the main movie is shown but the normal soundtrack can be replaced by the ‘director’s comments’…
Other times, I suppose that ‘director’s comments’ is an ‘extra’ , maybe showing highlights with comments..
Therefore they could be on a separate set of VOB files and the soundtrack would be part of that, so the ‘directors comments’ would be the main soundtrack there so an additional one would not be required..
Just depends what they want to do really

Most of the time “director’s comments” do not apply to the main movie. It’s more for special features and extras. If it’s really the AC-3/2 dolby digital, you can hear the difference. If you just select the AC-3/5.1 and listen to it. Then try the AC-3.5.1 with AC-3/2, it sounds a lot better. Because the 2 streams are connected throughout the movie. Some movies are just hard trying to figure out which options to choose. I use DVDfab Platinum, and unlike others, it tells you whether or not it is “director’s comments” or not. But like you said, sometimes it doesn’t read correctly or whoever made the dvd is just a moron when it comes to extensions.
