Downgrading

January 4th, 2019

Hello, I plan on downgrading from windows vista to windows XP due to the fact I have many pc games that wont run on vista..and vista is just annoying. I was wondering what are the steps I should take while downgrading to avoid permanently crippling my PC. I know I must back up drivers etc but is there a program that will do this for me? What is the best version of windows XP that is good for games
Also here is my computer specs.
Worth downgrading?

What games are you playing lol? 95% of games work fine on Vista…
But if you are only playing older games that use DirectX9 then XP is the best option.
Answer #2
actually, 100% of all pc games run on vista… since you can just change the compatibility mode to xp.

As stated backing up drivers is pointless and they are not compatible from one os to the next … gather all the xp drivers BEFORE you start anything , most especialy the network card / wireless drivers … or you will stuck off line with nothing , driver genius has the ability to back up the drivers as xp from vista … just choose update drivers / back up … and choose xp instead of vista … or just profile your pc with Everest ultimate to identify all the components or find out from the manufacturer (you may need to incorporate sata drivers into the install or set compatibility to ide in the bios)
