CORSAIR Hydro Series H80 noise?

does anybody know how to fix this noise? thanks
RMA? Or do you think you can actually fix something that wasn’t meant for the consumer to crack open?
at first i thought it was the fans that were making the noise
It’s the pump… impeller, is that the word? If you can, replace it, it’s a rare problem but it happens to those systems. There might be solutions to fix this, like lowering the voltage that goes to the device (not sure about that or how – maybe with a fan controller?) but if you can replace it it will be much better. You can’t fix it properly anyway I think.

Yes the waterblock integrated pump is faulty or worn out. Nope, its the entire kit that needs replacing, H80 is sold as a closed loop bundle.
So you can’t change parts individually as it will not seal up properly and voids warranties. Made by Asetek, but I doubt other parts will fit.

Oops, I just noticed how my post may be interpreted, by “it” I meant the product, not the impeller. RMA is my suggestion too, OP.
Answer #6
i had this for like 3 years warranty expired .. any other liquid cpu coolers under 100$ that are better then this so i can replace it?
Answer #7
You could try getting a cheapo fan controller and try if it fails you’ll lose 3$. I don’t have any particular experience with your model to suggest you anything and I’ve only see a few builds with liquid cooling in general, so I can’t personally recommend a new cooler.
Answer #8
Yeah so its worn out, you can replace it with another water cooling or get a Noctua NH-D15.
Those fans will last quite awhile if you take care of them (clean the dust off). It is said they are FDB fans.
The heatsink you can just blast it with compressed air, remove the heatsink and take it outside of your house to do it.

I have the Corsair H100i and it works great with my hot OC AMD 8350 processor… The H100i has a much larger rad for better cooling, and comes with a sensor that allows you to monitor your heat better (Also the all metal Corsair C70 Vengeance case fits the H100i rad perfectly). FYI….The H100i version comes with a 5 year warranty instead of 3 years.) Regards.
