DVDFab is crap. CloneDVD2 ftw

Imgburn and create an iso for each dvd.

Imgburn and create an iso for each dvd.
While this is a good way of making a 1:1 copy and maintaining the original quality, By itself
it will not work because imgburn doesn’t handle copy protections (Which are quite common with original DVDs)
So using it in combination with anydvd (To transparently disable those protection) would be the way to go.
Also, I’d like to point out that the OP would also need to use a disc emulator app in addition (To mount the ISOs)
Clonedrive or Daemon Tools would be fine for this task.

What is everyone using to shrink the size of the movie, to put on a dvd, if its to big?

What is everyone using to shrink the size of the movie, to put on a dvd, if its to big?I use Brorsoft Video Converter, Handbrake, or ConvertXtoDVD… Don’t hijack this topic though, just create your own to ask this question. It’s easy enough to create a topic

I rip them with DVDFab or AnyDVD-HD then use Handbrake to make it into a MKV or MP4. It’s as close to lossless as you’re going to get plus Handbrake passes through DTS and Dolby Digital audio so it doesn’t have to be converted.
