Controlling Wireless

February 7th, 2020

My brother is always on the PS3 and the only time he gets off is when the Internet isn’t working.
If my laptop is on the same network as the PS3, is there a program or a way to block or turn off the PS3’s internet connection temporarily?
If you have suggestions or programs, share.
Thanks!

when you type in “192.168.1.1” in your browser, you can go to your modems configuration page. you can see there who’s currently using your internet. find your PS3 at the current users, and normally you should be able to see the MAC adress from your PS3. If you add that MAC adress to the list of MAC adresses your modem should deny access to, your PS3 will no longer be able to use your internet (you can also do this on your modems config page). Sorry that i cant give you more details, but this method differs from modem to modem, so you will have to look around a bit.
