Computer freezes up whilst loading bf3

My computer stops responding after i try to load up bf3 short that links through origin.
the mouse stops moving and the whole system is not responding,
i think it may be the hard drive that needs replacing as i’ve bad it for over a year doing constant downloading, converting and playing games but after looking at the prices on ebuyer they have sky-rocketed up so i ask are there any test i could do that could help improve the response rate of my pc.
here are my specs
the whole computer can run bf3 on recommended specs after checking system requirements lab. i just need to fix this freezing problems.

the Origins software is bugging alot of people not just me,
right now im seeing if i can load up the game using the website and the game manager plugin if not then i will try that.
