Combine .avi and .srt
August 1st, 2013
Is there a software (other than virtualdb and all the plugin and all stuff to install) to merge .avi and .srt files ?
The idea is :
1. select the .avi
2. select the .srt
Save and wait and that’s it (of course without lose quality)
An idea ?
Thanks,
Yes you can, but I don’t recommend you do it.
Not all player support it because it’s a hack: Embedding subtitles in AVIs is not standardized.
Tell me how. It’s just for me in fact, when I read on the tablet (Asus Prime). I can join my NAS and play but the .srt is not read then I’d like to combine just to read and delete after.
Use Qloud Media.
install mkvtoolnix and use mkvmerge to make the file into an mkv.

It’s better but there is one problem. I mount a “network drive” to my NAS, when I shared this drive with the server I don’t see it in the client.

I’ll admit I never tried it with a network drive but give me some time I’ll check it out for you. Keep trying other ways till then.-paroxysM^ replied: Use Qloud Media.

Will be perfect if can use it on network drive (of course the .srt must be display too). But it’s better than nothing.
