Can I raise this much money for charity?

Hi Guys, Its been a while since I last posted on here, but i’m back with a rather important post, for me anyway.
I am considering trekking Mt. Kilimanjaro next year for Macmillan Cancer Support and there minimum sponsorship is �4,450.
If i signed up now, i would have around a year to fundraise, the even is at the start of October and all monies must be received within one month of the event. Does this seem like too much to raise? I’m sure my friends and family will donate and also my many work friends (NHS&RollsRoyce)….
Am I being realistic? Can i do this?
Any help would be highly appreciated. And if anybody would like to look at the event page;

4 and a half grand is quite realistic , ask around FB and your family / friends circle if anyone is willing to donate a few quid. If you are popular on FB , it may actually be quite easy …. but considering the amount of time you have , it could be achieved , but this is only my personal opinion

Realistic, I think, for sure.
Especially if you have some companies backing you!

do you work? if so, ask your bosses if you can promote it!
ring local papers and ask local shops to help.
good luck with this and stay safe on your trek.
