BOOTMGR is missing?

January 26th, 2020

Basically I reformatted my laptop HD so I could have a clean HD to install Win 7 on. I insert it back in the laptop and go to boot up and I get this…
BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

Any idea how to fix that?
PS: I have my Boot Priority at USB CDROM right now too so it would boot from disc.

Try a repair install-like thing.. Except whatever it’s called for Win7.

If i get it right you didn’t install windows 7 yet?
Maybe there is an issue on usb support at boot for that cdrom?
If you have a flashdrive (usb stick) of 4 GB you could make that one the windows 7 install stick.
Look here for the tool to make the usb stick bootable with windows 7 files in it:

It happened with me yesterday.I install win 7 the ubuntu server but ubuntu server CD was currepted then it gave me the error u got..
I inserted the win 7 disk and repair it two time and the problem was solved.
If u don’nt have any os installed and then u r gettting error then try to cleen ur disk and DVD-ROM and reinsert and then boot if this does’nt solve the problem then try any other OS.
