Bitdefender killing uTorrent

August 6th, 2016

For a couple of days i am experiencing a lot of unusual uTorrent crashes. At first i couldn’t figure it out what was the real problem but after searching on the google i found out that its causing by Bitdefender. I keep my pc turned on 24/7 and utorrent too… But After a few hours it crashes down showing that it used too many memory and it stopped. This error is not unusual with WIndows 8.1 Pro(64-Bit). High end games gets these kind of crashes usually but i turned it off from Group Policy. So now how do i stop Bitdefender to stop killing utorrent process.
Utorrent version: uTorrent Plus 3.4.2 Build 32126 (32-Bit)
Bitdefender version: Bitdefender Total Security 2015
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit
RAM 4GB DDR3
Intel Core i3 3220

Are you sure that it is caused by BitDefender?
Have you turned off BitDefender and noticed that the problem no longer persisted? You can always try putting uTorrent on the ignore list (in BitDefender settings)

Since you have the new version 2015, you might want to check the BitDefender forum for bugs

I know that with Malwarebytes Malicious Website Protection running it will detect and block various IPs outgoing..
Still downloads the torrent OK though.
So maybe something like that is happening with BitDefender..
