June 3rd, 2018

i want to build a new pc with the Phenom II X4 965 and i want some suggestion for the motherboard to go with it
i hv been suggested ASUS M4A79XTD EVO and it looks good to me
as for my budget, well, let’s just say i want a high performance hardware with a reasonable/very reasonable price, like the ATi HD 5850.

Yeah that motherboard is good value for money, with 10 phase voltage regulation for the CPU, you can’t go wrong.
ESATA, no more floppy drives, 7 SATA ports.
That board will even give you some overclocking and even unlock 2 or 1 more core from Phenom II X2’s or X3’s.

Any of the above boards would be awesome. Unless you’re looking to do some major overclocking, the motherboard won’t matter too much.
