core clock speed down 100MHZ ? then click ‘apply’ at the bottom
you will need to do this each time you reboot and want to play unless you click the ‘apply overclocking at system startup’ button at the bottom , hope that helps

Answer #8
did you update direct x ,nvidia drivers ext ?? also theres this you need to do:
RELOADED FIX:
If you’ve downloaded and installed the “RELOADED” version and the game crashes when you try to run the “bf3.exe” file;
Just rename the directory folders from “Battlefield 3™” to “Battlefield 3”.
Remove all the “™” symbols from the directory folders.
That should solve the problem.

Some people says that the core voltage is low on the 560 ti and maybe to low and thats why this fix should be great.
the amount that is being changed is also very small so i think that it should be okay

Alot of users with 560Ti experience problems because the game itself uses an inbuilt overclocking code. I do not have a 560Ti but experienced the same drop outs every 5 mins, not to desktop, but freeze my computer with black screen and audio repeating. I have a
GTX 295 and thought it was that, but i never had it overclocked…
If you have an Intel Processor you might be getting the same problem…
I had to reset my CPU from overclocked to Stock and i had a great experience through…
I couldn’t have the highest settings because I was using a lower CPU speed but at least it didn’t flop every 5 mins and cause a restart which was very frustrating, I don’t think the RELOADED versions or others have anything to do with these problems because I churned through every problem on the EA forums to find a fix and nothing…
I heard they will release a patch to fix these issues soon
It may not only be GPU overclocking but also if you have any other overclocking, e.g. CPU in my case, but also RAM, because of the game inbuilts try to set these back to stock. I haven’t got Multiplayer support so this is the best solution for Single Player.
DELETE PUNKBUSTER – this has been linked to RAM and does things, so if you for example have the RELOADED version and install the __ just uninstall the PKB client and it may also be a fix.
Hope this helps as it would have helped me trumendously if I had known earlier.

How did it go?
I just bought battlefield 3 for mulitplayer, had my CPU turned up for overclocking and only lasted 24 mins, turned the CPU to normal and played for another hour and a half without dropping out or freezing, map changes worked well.
Do you get any error messages? Or does it just freeze
It might be overheated without proper cooling and fans or because of the inboard soundcard with your particular motherboard
