Considering you are on a site and play pirated games..You should have a firewall installed..That way you will have to freedom to allow or disallow things as you see fit..
That also can happen if you copied the crack to the wrong destination..
Answer #7
yeah I do have a firewall and a really good anti virus, its just started happining when I updated Borderlands the pre sequal and mortal kombat, those are the ones besides borderlands 2 that keep connecting no matter what I do

Answer #11
I say again, it sounds like you forgot to paste the crack after the update. Note that the update should have a new crack folder included, and you copy the crack files over again. What you are describing is what happens when the crack is not in the right place -> the game tries to connect to Steam.
It is also possible that your antivirus has deleted the cracked steam_api.dll and that is why it is trying to use real Steam.
Answer #12
No I used the crack files, And my anti virus always askes me befor blocking or deleting things, I did down load the entire game again and am going to use the crack files to see what happens. And tooth less I did try disconnecting my internet but its still doing the same thing, the weird part is that is says “connecting to steam servers ” but never opens steam and also it has not showed up in my steam App. again thank you guys for your time. much appreciated
Answer #13
What release of game / update did you download? Are they the proper scene releases?
Answer #14
wow, so the crack files are coming up as trojans now. thats weird cause they never did before. wtf. will you scan it again and tell me what you think bro. its weird that its coming up as a virus now

It’s not…Most crack are detected as virus/trojan by security software…It’s called false positive..
And for your sake..I hope you don’t double post again!
Answer #17
I recommend you remove Geforce Experience, it is not really needed and it’s better not to keep it running. Just set your graphic options manually.

uhahuahuauhahua yes mate , you are using forum like IRC just edit your last post if you want to add something
cracks are not universal mate so groups release new versions of steam.api for new games. recently reloaded started to use their steam.api version starts with 4.9.x.x which is recognized as virus by many antivirus software. both borderlands and mortal kombat are from reloaded so this is your situation. i dont know what av software use but if you deal with cracked games , use a wise one , such as kaspersky. and remember cracks can be detected as virus , especially when groups changes their steam.api files until they are added as safe through definition updates. some av never does that. lastly dont worry too much about .dll file detections , especially when it is “steam_api.dll” , .exe files are which you should worry about.
