Advice/Sugestions with Waterbeds

January 23rd, 2020

Guys I don’t post much and this isn’t really your common help desk topic I know.
About three weeks ago now I purchased a waterbed, put it up and love it, absolutely love!!!
However I’m getting the “back” feeling it don’t love me back It’s been 15 years since I had one and I slept on one for 15 years before I got rid of it without problems.
Ok, here we are 3 weeks later and I’m getting what I would call soreness in my rib area, not the spine or back but the back of my ribs and I’ve narrowed this down to my attempting to turn in the bed and twisting my back trying to roll over which is what caused this.
I’m adjusting the water level in the bed as it is a waveless hard side mattress and hoping this will help. Wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if so what you do.
Yes, guys I know about the back pain associated with waterbeds but if you google the subject you will find this misconception started in the early days of waterbeds when there were full wave mattresses with no support and the theory stuck. Modern day mattresses with fiber provide support which are not the same and actually come up with good for back now.
Here’s the one I have:

Thanks in advance.

Turning what off/on?
Yes, mattress has a 20 year warranty (3 year full) but nothing wrong with the mattress so I can’t return it. I was going to call the manufacturer this afternoon and see what advice they can offer to try. As I said, I love the bed so not yet ready to give up on it

I wouldn’t ask you to give it up, just might be someone who is expert with those kind of sleeping bugs
Another person who is more knowledgeable than us on the tech forum.

Wearing hobnail boots or high heel shoes to bed should help with your water problem..
Changing non disposable babies nappies on the bed can be a bonus too

don’t let it get to you. too many times bad posters don’t get reported, that’s the problem. reporting what you see is a start to making it better..
