700mb movies

well i have alot of movies wich are 800-900mb or so
but i want to convert them to max 700mb so i can burn them on a cd ive been using total video converter for like forever now but whenever i try to convert such a movie i pick xvid avi and the movie increases even more from 900mb to 1gb etc
wich codec for avi has 700mb ? and still good quality.
or a program that can convert a 900mb avi file to a 700mb avi file…

He is absolutely right..!! Though a little time consuming but the result is amazing..!! and there are quite a few tutorials out there here to guide you..!!

There is a reason why they are made 800-900MB in the first place…Eg. they may be long movies and therefore shortening the file size will make the quality sub standard..
Best to put them on DVDs if possible
