Answer #1
You could be more specific…
Error 1600
– Custom firmware can’t be restored on a device with DFU Mode. The software of the iPhone isn’t patched. Using iREB, sn0wbreeze, redsn0w, or PwnageTool, you need to enter a pwned DFU Mode. During that process the software gets patched and the custom firmware should run without any problems.
– APTicket problems if you try to restore to iOS 5.x in the DFU Mode.

White screen should be at start of restoring and then to goes to black and then to Apple logo and progress bar…
Anyway, you sure that you go in DFU mode? What tool you use? Can you describe me a bit more what exactly you do!

okay look i have tired the DFU but my screen is not just white it has grey spots on the cornors. But the Procedure i use is the iReb i hold the home and power power then let go of the power and then it goes black, then turns on and same white screen with grey spots. after that then i go into itunes hold SHift and click restore and pick the 5.0.1 iOS and i get nothing
