Whats the fastest broadband you can get in the usa?

Just read online today that my isp will be introducing new speeds of up to 120mb very soon,my isp called upc provide 8mb,15mb,30mb at the moment.I used to have 30 but i downgraded to 15mb.its cost 25euro for 8mb,32euro for 15mb and 42euro for 30mb all per month.But when new speeds come out the lines will be upgraded without any extra charge which has happened a fews times over the past 5 years.I used to pay 32euro for 5mb.Now the 8mb will be 15mb,15mb will be 30mb and 30mb will be 60mb.Also there will be a 90mb and 120mb with prices of around 50euro and 70euro a month for the 90mb and 120mb.Thats pretty fast considering it takes me like 6mins to download a 700mb film.I might upgrade to 60mb and it would take like a 1min 30secs.Thats here in ireland but wondering whats the fastest you can get in the usa.You get 1gb in asia thats like a 1000mb.

BTW, I have a lot of Irish friends in NYC. I think your people are great. I always wanted to visit Ireland. Sadly, one of my friends passed away but you should have seen the wake. It was more like a party, I couldn’t believe it. One of my friends aked me “why does a guy gets his best party after he dies?” LOL

Haha cheers.Ya thats pretty good price for them speeds.Ireland is very expensive for everything.Its one of the worlds most expensive countries and its the second most expensive in europe.

fastest wireless i guess is 3.6mbps
But unlimited costs like 2,700Rs nearly equals 60dollars a month
This is from 3g which has been introduced 6months back in india
Wired goes to 16mbps but it is crazy costly for unlimited.
Unlimited wired 512kbps comes to 750rupees nearly equal to 18dollars (in our lib we have it)
This is the reason around a year back i was asking if i could share someones rs account, as downloading is hell

dude you download at 25, i download at speed between 1to11 max 16
I downloaded a torrent of 6.5gb in only a month keeping pc on for around 15hours a day

oh my god 30days and 15 hours a day to download 6.5gb,i wouldnt have the patience.I download blurays that are about 6.5gb and it takes just over an hour.

YepDo virgin have that 3 strike download rule?if you download copyrighted music 3 times you get disconnected.UPC won there court case against the music industry 2 days ago.So i can download without worrying.Eircom have it in ireland,3 strikes and youre gone.Im glad upc won i didnt want to be monitored on what i download.

I’ve heard about torrents now. A friend of mimes got a warning with BT I believe with downloading torrents.
I’ve been with virgin for nearly 2 years always on max boardband speed and I’ve never had a probleming downloading from servers. Like RS,MU etc.
I never torrent anything as imo its too risky only thing I would torrent and that is very rare and that is probs linux as its free.

Ya id say filehosting sites are safe to download from,i think its just torrents and p2p like limewire,etc.I think most people dont know about RU,MU,HF,so they just download torrents.I used to torrent and use limewire alot a few years back but the speed was brutal,then i discovered rapidshare.Yes you pay but you get full speed so its worth it.
