Is that ps2 modified?

You either need a modchip or a fliptop with swapmagic. You can’t just put in a pirated game and expect it to play.

Before you even waste your time with downloading a game, is your PS2 modded?
If so, then you should begin to look for games to download.
Like the previous poster said, you’ll need to look for games that match your console’s region (i.e. NTSC or PAL). Most, if not all, posts will have the game labeled as such.
Next, you’ll need to download the game. There are usually like 40-50 parts per PS2 game. Once they’re downloaded, extract the .iso file to a place you’ll easily remember.
Next, open up your favorite image burning software…I prefer DVD Decrypter, but all should work. Make sure you set the burn speed to the lowest speed that your media will allow…The slower the better. Also, as the previous poster said, make sure to use high quality DVDs. For PS2 backups, Sony DVDs are ideal because the console is made by Sony as well. Once you have made sure you’ve done all of this, select the .iso file in your image burning program and burn it.
Pop it in your PS2 and you’re good to go.

not much of anything is free but if you have time and patience one option is HDadvance or Usb Extreme, there is a memory card exploit that you can download and the only thing you will have to buy is either an internal or external hard drive and if its the internal option you will also need an ethernet adapter for the fat style ps2.
