Internet Traffic Monitor

September 27th, 2013

Looking for an internet traffic monitor that will distinguish between ‘this pc’ and ‘all network traffic’.
I’ve checked out several, but they only given overall readings.
I’ve a new housemate and we’re both using the same modem, but we need to keep track of our separate usage (to avoid going over Cap, and make sure fair/equal usage). Knowing we’ve used Xgb in the day in useless, unless we can see how much each of us have used separately.
Thanks.

Thanks. I’ll check both out. Much appreciated.
Answer #5
Install the particular app on both PCs and you’ll have it your way.
Answer #6
If you use Windows 7 and your computers are all day on, you can install networkmeter gadget on both computers.
If they are not all day on, then you must pay a bit more attention and reset counter everyday/month.
That would give the simpler solution i guess.
The complex solution would be installing a gateway computer (old laptop, very small pc, mini itx motherboard) install ipcop or smoothwall and let it take control of the situation.
