Auto Content Generator and Revolution news theme trouble

Hey guys, I just found a theme and plugin that I want to use for wordpress, but with the revolution news theme I get an error (shown below) under an image. It looks like the template is working. Here is another site I found with the same problem I have. http://crosspollinationmedia.com/
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: the_content_limit() in /home/(my site here)/public_html/wp-content/themes/revolution-news/home.php on line 14
and with the Auto content generator, I placed the files after reading the readme into the same directory as my wp_config.php but I can’t login to rsstoblog1.php, it gives me a Table ‘nameofmysqldb_wrdp1.wp_categories’ doesn’t exist.

Sorry for double post but, I discovered the Auto Generator doesn’t work on WP 2.3,
the Revolution theme is the only thing I am having trouble with now.
