Can’t boot from a CD
January 27th, 2020
I changed the priority to CD before HDD (was like that before tbh) but still
There is not direct button to boot from CD
Am I missing something (maybe CD is not bootbale, and if so, how can I make it bootbale?)

1) Is your DVD writer OK??
2) Have you burned that disc in low speed ??
3) Is your source ISO modified?? 4) Do you see “Bootable Image” in your burning software??
5) Is there any prompt like this “Press any key to boot from CD / DVD…”??

I read your post and at first I didn’t quite get it lol! So, when your PC starts, you ALWAYS enter BIOS, right? You must NOT enter BIOS to see the “press any key..” prompt. In other words, stop hitting the damned F2/Delete button!
did you burn the CD as an “image” or as “data”
the ISO needs to be burned as an image
I guess I burned it wrong, hence why I said refer to the thread posted above.
Please answer in that thread so I se if all is ok.
My thing was
1. i didnt burn it to a bootable DVD
2. i didnt do the ISO thingy.
did you get or do you have an ISO ?
if so get “IMGburn” and burn the ISO with it

I’m gonn get the Win 7 ISO mate.
Dont think I need anything else tbh.
Best use USB. It’s hassle free & easy!
That’s what I do. You will have to burn the ISO itself. Then Boot through DVD else, it won’t boot!

Through the USB, do I just need to put in the 3.2GB file or do I need other stuff??

In the CD part, I dont have an actual bootable CD but I have the files needed, will that effect it??
(What i mean in the last part is what I’v been saying in the thread. I have the DVD with the files but it itsn’t an auto-bootable CD and it doesnt have the Image ISO to it, will it still work??)

You don’t really need to have the Bootable DVD cuz the USB is already set to bootable. You will just need the files.
There are also many softwares which will directly make your Windows 7 USB Bootable.
Win2Flash – The Automatic Way.
Both the types are included below

thanks mate, I’ll use that!
Well can you boot from any other CD, if u can then its the CD, but if u cant. Then change the priority in the boot menu when starting up.
Doing the one Dark night posted and I got this :S :S
Tried multiple USB ports. USB is EMPTY. Any ideas??
Did it the automatic way and STILL!!!
I set boot priority to Removable Device, then CD then HDD, and still. I also removed the HDD boot priority (so i had 2) and still.
What am i doing wrong?
oooook, downloaded this Microsoft Software thing which does bootable USBs and its down to ma making a 64bit OS from a 32 bit system!
Pics:
What does that mean? Does it mean that I can’t upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit??!!
If no, what do I need to download (obv i bought ~ censored ~ all).
There is a free app called win2flash you just point it at the .iso and a usb key with enough space. BTW that is faster to install on a good USB key however it might screw up whatever loader is packed on the disk to crack the validation I ran into that a few times but just used the DAZ loader thats all over the place to fix it. That said I love installing off a USB key I just put the load on the key also along with everything else I usually install makes for a quick setup.
