DVD Shrink closing when backing up House season 2

I use DVD shrink and I have never had a problem with any dvd’s till now.
I use AnyDVD also.
I am trying to back up season 2 of house, but after 0% encoding DVD Shrink just closes.

is the disc scratched? try dvd decrypter.

dvd is brand new. haven’t even played it yet (i’m really paranoid about breaking DVDs ever since I broke 2 from my matrix collection set)

did you try DVD Decrypter? when ever i have problems with dvd shrink(very rare) i use DVD Decrypter, and there are lots of other alternatives in the apps section.

v3.5.4.0 was release on March 21, 2005. but it still works great. i think accidentally broke the dvd and is making back ups just in case.

I use these apps, in this order

1. DVDShrink 3.2.0.15
2. DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0 (for rental discs that have scratches–it has error retry)
3. DVDFab Platinum for the hard to crack stuff.

check your output & temp folders, make sure they exist

Does it actually PLAY ok on your PC..?
You could try running’ CCS and Region Free’ in the background instead of ‘AnyDvd’..
You could then try Nero (recode), that should at least tell you what the problem is, I would think..

i did remove it with anydvd
it’s been a while since I tried it and a couple updates to anydvd have been made so I’ll probably try it again soon….

It’s probably got one of the new protects that shrink don’t understand.
Get DvdFab Platinum (search here) – that does rip and shrink better than dvdshrink does (on the new protects).
