Fake Anti-spyware Problem

I have a problem when i loadup IE 7, it loads up my homepage and then a yellow bar appears saying “Warning: possible spyware or adware infection! Click here to scan your computer for spyware and adware…” and there is also 4 tabs above “Remove Popups”, “Scan Spyware”, “Security Test”, “Spam Protection” any ideas on how to get rid of this, thanks

Have you got a pop up blocker on ?

Scan your PC for Spyware and Adware. Try Ad-Aware for that purpose and see if it finds any infections. Good luck mate ^_^

Try this:
1. Go to Safe Mode.
2. Go to Control Panel –> Add/remove programs
3. Remove some applications that you are not familiar to you.
4. Restart. After a restart, go to safe mode again.
5. Click Start –> run –> type: msconfig (and hit enter)
6. Go to start up tab, click DISABLE ALL.
7. Don’t restart yet. Go to C:\Program Files.
8. Delete Folders that are not familiar to you. And don’t forget to empty recycle bin after a delete.
9. Restart. Good luck.

Edit: w00t problem solved i deleted some false .dll’s in \Windows folder
