Playstation 3 (PS3) w/ No Sound (HDMI)

Now I used to have sound before but when I turned my PS3 on, you would only hear the introduction sound….after that the sound is gone. Can someone help? The video/picture is fine.

Hdmi cable might be bad. had the opposite problem no pic but sound.

Try a different cable, or tv.

This is wierd, but change the time zone so it is correct and update via internet. This was the root of many of my problems

I did all of those procedures and they didn’t work…only solution I got was to just restore the default settings

try changing your sound output settings in the settings area it might have changed to a different sound output
